Friendly Fires Remixes – Thin White Duke / GRUM

The worst record I bought last year was by a band called Glasvegas. It had a sticker on quoting the NME proclaiming it ‘the best album of 2008′.
It was so bad that I took it back to HMV for a refund. They asked me why I was returning it. I told them it was terrible. They gave me my money back.
I mention it because the NME also raved about Friendly Fires last year. Fresh from the Glasvegas-shaped wound in my brain, I ignored them.
Turns out they’re quite good. And their dance-influenced guitar music (insert Klaxons reference here) lends itself particularly well to being remixed.
So here you go, two examples from Thin White Duke and GRUM:
Friendly Fires – Jump in the Pool (Thin White Duke Remix)
Friendly Fires – Skeleton Boy (GRUM Remix)
