Fukkk Offf – Love Me Hate Me Kiss Me Kill Me (Disco of Doom Remix)
It looks like Germany’s leading the way when it comes to producing filthy electro. Fukkk Offf follows in the footsteps of fellow countryman Boys Noize with LMHMKMKM. The original mix is a solid effort with a techno beat, juddery electro hook and well-placed vocal, but the Disco of Doom remix takes it to the next level by upping the dirtiness a notch and adding a buzzsaw bassline into the equation. The single package comes with additional remixes by SCNDL and Polymorphic.

Deadmau5 – Moar Ghosts and Whatever
The good thing about Deadmau5 is that he’ll come out with a floaty feel-good track like I Remember which Scott Mills will play every day on Radio 1, but next thing he’ll drop a stomper like this. It’s the sign of an artist who makes the tunes he wants to hear and doesn’t worry if people on internet forums are going to call him a sell-out or not. This is a typically tuneful effort with a particularly good hands-in-the-air breakdown.

Mochipet – Turbo Thizz Petnation
Where to start with this? Mochipet‘s latest album jumps all over the place from track to track, drawing on glitch and acid throughout but stopping short of flat-out breakcore. The various samples and sound effects refer to a long history of videogame soundtracks while the basslines add significant weight to proceedings. Yep, it should be awful, and it would be if it wasn’t so intelligent.
Check the upcoming set on Mary Anne Hobbs on July 7.
