Don Diablo & Example – Hooligans (Wire Remix)
—Edit – Link fixed—
Twitter comes through again! After my post below requesting tune recommendations, Balistiq came through with the rather concise ‘Wire’s remix of Hooligans is the one’. Alright then.
Turns out it is though. While Mr Diablo ain’t too shabby at the remixing game himself, his latest original effort is attracting attention from dubstep heads keen to shake things up with some sub-bass. More please!

La Roux – Farewell to the Fairground (White Lies Cover)
There’s no denying that La Roux has a great voice, and judging by all the fawning coverage of her at Glastonbury she’s going to be BIG. But I can’t get into her own stuff. However, Skream’s remix of In For The Kill is an early contender for tune of the year, and this little number is rather impressive as well. A distinctive cover of White Lies, it makes me wonder if I need to go back to her album and try harder…

Dangermouse & Sparklehorse – Revenge
I can’t pretend I wasn’t surprised when I saw this collaboration. It made a lot more sense when I read that it’s part of an unofficial Dangermouse effort, along the lines of his magnificent Grey Album. It sounds like a promising venture. Like all good musicians (maybe just guitarists?), the guy from Sparklehorse has dabbled with heroin addiction and Dangermouse is right up there with the best of producers. Expect good things then.

Lykke Li – Little Bit (Death to the Throne RE-remix)
That’s right. It’s another Lykke Li remix. How do you like them apples?
It’s not even by a new artist. Death to the Throne have followed-up on their rather successful Little Bit remix with a Little Bit RE-remix. Hmmm.
But wait. Listen. It’s worth it. After kicking off all twinkly, nice and quite a lot like the last remix, something happens. Wait ‘til about a minute in when things start sounding like naval warfare.
